Chelsea in talks with Strasbourg’s Emanuel Emegha | OneFootball

Chelsea are in talks with Emanuel Emegha (22) regarding a potential transfer this summer, according to a report from Foot Mercato.

Emegha has enjoyed an excellent campaign at Champions-League chasing RC Strasbourg Alsace. The Dutch forward has been a key contributor to RCSA’s success, netting 14 goals in Ligue 1 this season. The former Sturm Graz forward, who joined Strasbourg in the summer of 2023 for €13m, could be on the move again this summer.

Chelsea are in the market for a striker and have been impressed by Emegha’s performances. Given the Premier League side’s affiliation with Les Alsaciens through the shared BlueCo ownership, negotiations would not prove to be difficult, although rumoured interest from Newcastle United could drive the price higher.

Chelsea have already opened talks with the striker, Foot Mercato understands. Emegha himself would be open to the move. He has previously expressed a desire to play in the Premier League and a move to Chelsea would naturally put him in the frame to make the step up to international football, another one of his objectives.
