Chelsea has been linked with a move for the River Plate attacker Ian Subiabre in recent months.
The 18-year-old has been quite impressive for the South American outfit, and multiple Premier League clubs are keeping tabs on him. However, Chelsea have already met with his agent, Claudio Paul Caniggia, according to a report from La Pagina Millonaria.
Chelsea have held talks to sign in recent weeks, and Arsenal are keeping tabs on him as well.
The player has a release clause of around £23 million in his contract, and Chelsea have decided not to make an offer for him right now. It will be interesting to see if they decide to come back for him in future.
Subiabre is a talented young player with a bright future, but the reported asking price is not justified for someone who is largely unproven at the highest level.
It is no secret that Chelsea need more quality on the flanks, and the 18-year-old could have been a useful acquisition for them. However, River Plate might have to be reasonable with their demands in order for the move to go through.

The opportunity to move to the Premier League will be quite exciting for the youngster, and he will certainly be tempted to join Chelsea if the opportunity presents itself. It would be a major step up in his career, and he would get to play in the English flight. Regular football in England could accelerate his development and help him fulfil his potential.
Meanwhile, Chelsea need to add more depth and quality to the attacking unit during the summer transfer window. It will be interesting to see if they can bring in the right additions. They have shown improvement this season, and they will be hoping to secure Champions League qualification for the next season. They need better players at their disposal to do well in Europe next year.
