Chelsea have reportedly been offered the chance to re-sign centre-back Fikayo Tomori from AC Milan.
Tomori came through the Blues academy but was shipped off in January 2021 after falling out of favour under Frank Lampard, and he played an integral role in Milan's Serie A triumph the following season.
This year, however, Tomori has lost his place in the starting lineup. Former boss Paulo Fonseca handed him just 13 minutes of action across his final ten Serie A games in charge and it remains to be seen whether the newly hired Sergio Conceicao will restore the Englishman to his starting lineup.
With questions asked on his future, Juventus have been strongly linked with a move for Tomori, but Sky Sports Switzerland state a shock return to Chelsea has also been proposed.
Chelsea have been tipped to bolster in defence this month and have been offered the chance to re-sign Tomori, who made 27 appearances during his short-lived stint in the first team at Stamford Bridge.
As it stands, however, Chelsea are not thought to be keen and would only pursue a move for Tomori if Axel Disasi departs the club.
Disasi is under immense pressure after a series of underwhelming performances and has recently been linked with Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen, while Juventus have also been named as potential suitors of the Frenchman.
