Chelsea and Tottenham will have to fork out in excess of £20 million to sign Sunderland star Jobe Bellingham.
Jobe Bellingham could end up parting ways with Sunderland in the summer and there are quite a few top clubs that are keen on signing the English youth international.
According to a report from Football Insider, Chelsea and Tottenham are both interested in acquiring the services of the 19-year-old midfielder.
After coming up the ranks and making a name for himself at Birmingham, Bellingham joined the Black Cats in the summer of 2023. He has been a key figure in their team since the start and has seven goal contributions in his 33 outings this season. He has been described as a “powerful” midfielder.
While his contract with the Championship outfit runs until 2028, he could leave the club in the summer if they fail to secure promotion to the top flight. Multiple top clubs are keeping a close eye on his situation and would pounce on any opportunity to sign him.

Chelsea are among the front-runners for his signature, while Tottenham have been scouting him for some time now. The Blues are constantly on the lookout for young stars with massive potential and they feel Bellingham could be an ideal fit for their project.
Meanwhile, Spurs want to add more depth as well as quality to their midfield. They have prioritised investing in young players, and the 19-year-old could be a valuable addition to their squad. He can feature in any role in midfield which will give Ange Postecoglou great tactical flexibility.
If Sunderland fail to achieve promotion, they will consider big-money offers for their teenage sensation. As per the report, the Black Cats could look for a fee in excess of £20 million to part ways with one of their most valuable assets. While Chelsea and Spurs are pushing hard, Bellingham is yet to make a decision on his future and he will consider each project on the table before taking a call.
