Roma boss Claudio Ranieri spoke to Sky Sport after the team’s 1-0 defeat to AZ Alkmaar.

“We kept the game in hand and they ended up winning it,” he said. “It’s a shame to concede goals like that, Roma created a lot but they went away with the full result after having defended and tried to do something, we wasted it”

“We are made like this, we are made badly, we make incredible mistakes. We have to turn around and go home, we weren’t able to score goals. We did everything but in the end we were not very practical.”

“We did a lot but in the end we didn’t get anything, they took home the three points with minimal effort. It was a real shame because we had played the game well.”
