“Clearly have no knowledge on the game” – John Obi Mikel destroys Chelsea owners | OneFootball

Former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel is NOT a happy bunny at all this week as he goes on an all out rant at the club and some players.

The Obi One Podcast is always an entertaining watch, with Mikel always able to speak freely and he will never hold his tongue.

The latest episode dropped yesterday and it had some very emotional and passionate rants from the former Blues cult hero.

Mikel was reacting a lot to Chelsea’s defeat to Manchester City on Saturday and how terrible goalkeeper Robert Sanchez was once again. He also picked at Nicolas Jackson, who he has said on a number of occasions that he does not rate at all and has called for Victor Osimhen to replace him.

And on this episode, he has also gone at the Chelsea owners. I remember not long ago he met up with them and he was actually offering them some compliments. But it seems his anger and passion has gotten the better of him and his true feelings have come out now.

Mikel is fuming

They only went and called football ‘soccer’ to Mikel, and he didn’t like that at all!

He said:

“I dont know too much about these American owners, they call it Football or Soccer? Anyone who calls Football soccer, I dont wanna talk to you, you clearly have no knowledge on the game. No but Roman was the guy, spending so much money, bringing the best, always making sure we’re at the top, every year we are winning trophies and competing. Even if we didnt win, the next year we HAVE to win 1-2 trophies, for us roman was the guy”

Well, it’s a bit different to what he said in 2024:

“Lots of conversations in my meeting with Behdad that I cannot share but he loves the club, and he is also very knowledgeable on Football, we were talking about the game and tactics.”
