Como won’t be able to remove the clauses hanging over the future of Nico Paz, but they are in the driver’s seat to enjoy him for at least another season despite intense courtship by Inter. The attempts to gain complete control of the player through an investment haven’t been fruitful, Gianluca Di Marzio reports.
On the other hand, the Lariani and Los Galacticos are in touch to decide on a strategy for next summer. There will likely be a meeting between the parties in a month and a half. It should determine the future of the youngster well in advance.
Real Madrid are inclined not to activate their 2025 buy-back clause, provided Como promise not to sell Nico Paz to other sides, like Inter. The Biancoblù have often stated that they would like to retain him for years to come.
The Italian side would gladly accept the caveat. The Nerazzurri are willing to invest but face a steep hill to climb since the two sides that call the shots appear to be in lockstep. The only thing they could perhaps lean on is the will of the starlet. Vice president Javier Zanetti and his dad are close friends. Though, the attacker hasn’t been pushing to transfer.
From Los Blancos’ perspective, if they really want to bring him back eventually, only a spell in an outfit that participates in the cups would be more useful than him staying put. It was always going to be a difficult chase for the Scudetto holders. It’s not over until the ink is dried, but they’d have to be very persuasive to prevail.
