Manchester City have travelled to Slovakia for matchday two of their UEFA Champions League league phase campaign, hoping to get their first three points on the board.
Pep Guardiola and his players are in the midst of a run of four matches that features three draws and a win across all competitions, including a 0-0 tie against Inter Milan at the Etihad Stadium on matchday one.
Fixtures continue to come thick and fast for Manchester City and as such after the meeting with SK Slovan Bratislava on Tuesday night, the Premier League champions will return to top-flight action with a meeting against Fulham at the Etihad Stadium.
As for their opponents in Slovakia, Vladimir Weiss’ men will be looking to perform the ultimate upset in European competition and get their first points on the board after a 5-1 defeat to Celtic on matchday one.
City will be somewhat restricted in their first-team options as reflected by their 19-man travelling squad, as they maintain action without all of Nathan Ake, Rodri, Kevin De Bruyne, and Oscar Bobb due to respective injuries.
