Milan Primavera led at the halfway stage away from home against Cremonese, but they were ultimately forced to settle for a draw in the league.
In truth it was a result that feels a bit unjust for Federico Guidi’s side, who were superior to their opponents for long stretches of the match but were unable to capitalise on the numerous chances they created.
There was to be no winning streak started after home victory against Lecce in the midweek round, and top spot remains quite far away in the table, but there remains positives to take such as the opening goal.
Bonomi’s strike in the 17th minute put Milan ahead, before Nahrudnyy equalised early in the second half. There were several decisive saves by the opposing goalkeeper Malovec – especially after the 1-1 goal – but also one from Duțu at the end of the game to avoid a defeat for the Rossoneri.
The point takes Milan to 37 points in the standings, solid in fifth place on equal points with Juventus and seven points away from league leaders Roma. The next match is at the PUMA House of Football against Bologna, on Saturday 1 February at 13:00 CET.
