According to a report from L’Équipe, Enzo Le Fée (24) is flying to England today to complete a move to Sunderland AFC from AS Roma. Le Fée only arrived in Roma six months ago when he was signed from Stade Rennais for €23 million.
However, the midfielder is now set to join the Championship side on a loan deal with an option to buy for an undisclosed fee. It has been reported by the Italian press that the deal becomes permanent if Sunderland win promotion back to the Premier League this season.
Le Fée will be reunited with former Lorient head coach Régis Le Bris who has done impressive work in his short time in the North East of England. The Frenchman has beaten expectations and quickly transformed the club into one of the best clubs in the second tier.
Sunderland are in the race for promotion to the Premier League and currently sit in fourth but only three points behind Leeds United at the top of the table.
