Benjamin Pavard and Piotr Zielinski will be back in the Inter Milan starting eleven to face Venezia in Serie A this weekend.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They anticipate squad rotation, but nothing earth-shattering.
Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has three more matches to think about before the November international break.
The Nerazzurri host newly-promoted Venezia on Sunday evening in Serie A.
Then there is a match against Arsenal in the Champions League. And then finally, the Nerazzurri face Napoli in the league – a top-of-the-table clash which could prove to be a title-decider.
Therefore, Inzaghi is thinking carefully about squad rotation.
The Inter coach has tweaked his starting eleven from match to match so far since the return from the November international break.
Inzaghi made a few changes to the starting eleven between Inter’s wild 4-4 Serie A draw against Juventus and their subsequent win away to Empoli.
And it will be more of the same this weekend, reports the Corriere. Inzaghi will change things up, but not put out an entirely different team.
In defense, the Corriere report that former Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard will start for Inter against Venezia.
Pavard had started against Juventus. And then against Empoli, the Frenchman came off the bench.
Pavard has regularly been alternating with Yann Bisseck on the right side of the Inter back three this season.
And on Sunday, the 29-year-old will get the nod.
Meanwhile, in midfield the Corriere anticipate that Nicolo Barella will get a rest.
Therefore, it will instead be Piotr Zielinski who starts in the holding midfield position in the absence of Hakan Calhanoglu.
Calhanoglu will be back in the squad. But he is not likely to start.
The Corriere’s complete predicted Inter starting eleven is as follows:
Inter (3-5-2): Sommer; Pavard, De Vrij, Bisseck; Dumfries, Frattesi, Zielinski, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Taremi, Thuram.
