Ex Napoli Star Declares: ‘I’m At Inter Milan To Win Trophies’ | OneFootball

Midfielder Piotr Zielinski says that he is “at Inter Milan to win trophies.”

The Polish international gave his thoughts in the official matchday programme for today’s Serie A clash with Fiorentina, via FCInterNews.

Piotr Zielinski joined Inter from Napoli last summer.

The Polish international joined the Nerazzurri on a free transfer after his contract with the Partenopei had expired.

In signing Zielinski, Inter signed one of the most accomplished midfielders in Serie A.

Zielinski had spent eight years in total at Napoli. Prior to that, he had also impressed playing for the likes of Udinese and Empoli.

Zielinski had been a key player for the Partenopei as they won their first Serie A title in over three decades during the 2022-23 season.

But the 30-year-old decided that it was time for a change of scenery. He made the move to Inter, the reigning champions of Italy.

Zielinski already has a couple pieces of silverware in his trophy cabinet.

In addition to winning the Serie A title with Napoli, he also started in the 2020 Coppa Italia final, which the Partenopei won on penalties against Juventus,

In moving to Inter, Zielinski has joined a team that’s won at least one trophy in each of the past four seasons.

The Nerazzurri also reached the Champions League final in 2023, and the Europa League final in 2020.

Inter midfielder Piotr Zielinski looked back that “I trained my technique a lot from an early age with my father.”

“That helped me to become the footballer that I am today,” the Polish international continuted.

“By working hard, believing, and giving my all, I believe I can achieve great goals.”

Zielinski explained that “I’ve always been very determined.”

“And it’s with that same determination that I came here to Inter to win trophies,” he made clear.
