Former Juventus President Andrea Agnelli will not be returning to the club in the near future, the current ownership group have claimed, despite rumours earlier in the week that the ex-Bianconeri chief was set to lead a new group of investors into a takeover bid.
Reports on Wednesday claimed that Agnelli, who resigned in November 2022, was looking to regain control of the club by leading a group of investors into a takeover bid.
However, Exor have since clarified that: “The rumours have no factual confirmation.”

Amidst rumours of a potential takeover bid, Juventus stocks rose by 7.75% at one point on Wednesday, and eventually settled at an increase of 4.8% by the end of the day.
Agnelli, along with the entire Juventus board, resigned in November 2022 following an investigation into inflated capital gains.
Shortly afterwards, in January 2023, Agnelli received a two-year ban from sporting activity, while Juve were handed a 10-point deduction in Serie A.
