Cesc Fabregas is making a strong impression on the rest of Europe with the work he is doing with Como, and has recently attracted interest from a number of the continent’s biggest clubs, including Barcelona and Manchester City, as well as some of the top teams in Serie A.
The newly-promoted Como currently sit in 13th place in the Serie A table, but have already earned a reputation as one of the most entertaining sides to watch in the division, and have also pulled off a string of giant killings this season, defeating Atalanta, Roma as well as Fiorentina and Napoli over their last two matches.
The team is also backed by an ambitious board and set of owners, who spent more money than any other Italian club during the January transfer window.
At the centre of the project is Fabregas, who ended his trophy-laden playing career at the Sinigaglia before beginning his coaching journey, originally serving as Primavera head coach, before serving as the interim coach of the first team and then went on to earn that title on a permanent basis.
Como’s performances have earned Fabregas widespread praise, including from Roma coach and soon-to-be director Claudio Ranieri, who is ‘convinced’ that the Spaniard will become one of Europe’s top coaches within the next ‘three or four years’.
And now, according to reports from Il Messaggero ‘everyone’ in Europe wants a piece of Fabregas.

Tuesday’s report claims that the City Group are studying the former Arsenal, Barcelona and Chelsea midfielder in the event that Pep Guardiola leaves before the end of his contract. Barca have also been mentioned given the mutual admiration between the club and coach.
Il Messaggero also claims that Inter and Milan are both monitoring Fabregas’s contractual situation in the future event of departures for Simone Inzaghi and Sergio Conceicao.
