Graham Potter is quite rightly delighted after seeing his West Ham side secure back-to-back wins in the Premier League.

Potter’s side beat Leicester City 2-0 in comfortable fashion, with the visitors showing little to no threat of causing West Ham problems, which followed the huge win over Arsenal at the weekend.

The Hammers boss although admitting it wasn’t the most exciting of games, it was a one that West Ham managed to perfection, as we look to finish the season in a strong manner.

“I don’t think it was champagne football by any stretch, but it was professional and importantly we got the job done,” Potter told the clubs Official Website.

“We knew that the game was going to be completely different away at Arsenal compared to home, with the greatest respect, against Leicester.

“It’s a different game for us, so we had to have that role of dominating possession.

“We had to play the role, and that’s why I thought that whilst it was not easy to create chances because they had lots of bodies there, defending with eleven all the time, we had control and we limited them to not many transitions.”

Potter was also full of praise for goalscorer and birthday boy Tomas Soucek, who turned 30 yesterday – whilst adding how great it is to feel the positivity growing in east London.

“He has made a career of it,” Potter said of Souceks goal. “He gives everything to the team, works really hard and it’s nice for him on his birthday to score a goal.

“It was an important goal and I’m delighted for him, delighted for the team, and delighted for the players because they’ve been working really hard and it’s nice to get the rewards of two wins

“It’s good for everybody to feel the positivity. As I said before, the players have responded really well, they’ve been working really well and really hard. For them you want them to get some points because it just shows you’re on the right path.”
