The striker has reportedly told Wolves he wants to leave this month
A video of Matheus Cunha taking pictures with Arsenal fans outside the Emirates Stadium has resurfaced amid transfer links with the Gunners.
Arsenal have been linked with a move for the Wolves star, who has reportedly told his club that he wishes to leave this month amid growing transfer interest in him.
Cunha had been expected to sign a new contract with Wolves, but now instead is expected to exit. Chelsea have also been linked, along with Tottenham, Nottingham Forest and Newcastle.
Back in August, on the opening weekend of the season, Cunha was interviewed by ESPN Brazil outside the Emirates Stadium following Wolves' 2-0 loss to Arsenal.
Cunha had been spending time taking photos with Gunners fans after the game, facing no animosity for being a rival player.
Quizzed on the 'surreal' situation, Cunha replied: "It’s amazing. Even though you’re upset having lost the game, to receive affection from fans of the opposition impacts you and is really nice.
"It’s really nice to have this recognition even though it’s not for the club you play for. To have that affection and recognition knowing that you do your job well is rewarding."
