The games are coming thick and fast for Tottenham, and they are back in action again on Thursday night in Germany's south-west to take on TSG Hoffenheim, for some UEFA Europa League action in what is their seventh of the eight matches in this years new league phase campaign. Spurs currently sit in 9th position out of the 36 teams in the league, which is just outside of the automatic places to qualify for the round of sixteen, whilst their opponents aren't having the best of times, as they are down in 26th, completely outside any qualification and if that stays the same, the side from Baden-Württemberg would be knocked out of the tournament altogether.

Another huge game for Ange Postecoglu and Tottenham tomorrow

"Die Kraichgauer" along with their poor form in Europe, haven't exactly enjoyed their domestic campaign, with already crashing out of the DFB Pokal in early December, and sitting in 15th position in the Bundesliga it has been a season to forget so far for the club who haven't seen second division football since 2008. Although they picked up an important win away at relegation rivals Holstein Kiel last weekend, after their previous game away at Bayern Munich long time servant and record goalscorer Andrej Kramarić came out with some pretty strong words regarding their campaign.

The Croatian 33-year-old said when asked about the loss "no i don't even want to talk about the game, because for me it was clear this was going to happen, this is the picture of the whole season, this is one big sh*t season. I am still soft because if i want to say some other things on my mind i would get probably the biggest punishment in the history of the Bundesliga."

Spurs' injury worries continue, with plenty of key players still missing, such as centre back pair Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, aswell as front man Dominic Solanke, who picked up a knee injury in training before the defeat at Goodison Park. It has also been reported today that centre midfielder Pape Matar Sarr had to pull out of training this afternoon, which undoubtedly would have gave manager Ange Postecoglou an even bigger headache than before, however the details of this injury are not yet confirmed.

Christian Ilzer's side have their fair share of players on the sidelines aswell, with the likes of former Liverpool central defender Ozan Kabak out with a cruciate ligament injury and Togo forward Ilhas Bebou, who's expected to be out until mid February. He is a player who Hoffenheim could have done with for tomorrow, as he has electric pace and would have loved playing against a high line, so that's good news for Spurs!

The blue's have conceded eight goals in their six European games this season, as well as letting the ball in the net thirty-five in just the eighteen matches in the Bundesliga, so Spurs should definitely try to do what they always do - play on the front foot and try to score goals against this vulnerable defence.

This would be a good start for Spurs to get their season back on track, a tough but winnable game for the North Londoners to regain some confidence in some of the players and Postecoglou, after a loss and two draws in the last three European matches, Spurs really need a win to get themselves back in them automatic qualification places to avoid the extra two games come Feb, and with their injury list, you'd think that would be ideal for them.
