AC Milan Women played out a remarkable derby against Inter at the Arena Civica on Sunday afternoon, eventually drawing 3-3.

After an impressive 2-2 draw against the league-leaders Juventus in their last outing, Milan faced a tough test against an Inter side who – at least on paper – are a bit superior at present.

Just like in the last two fixtures, the Rossonere responded to Nerazzurre every time, though this time they were able to do it three times.

In a rollercoaster game it was Milinković who put the home side in front before Merlo’s own-goal levelled things. Inter went 2-1 up through Cambiaghi, then Milinković put into her own net to make it 2-2.

With 22 minutes left Wullaert struck to put the hosts 3-2 up and yet the drama would not end there, as Ijeh’s tap-in during the 80th minute equalised again, and it would stay 3-3.

It is a third game without defeat (three draws) in the second phase of the season and they will take confidence from not knowing that they are beaten.
