Massimiliano Farris says that failure to win the Serie A title is “disappointing” but that a “dream” awaits Inter Milan in the Champions League final against PSG.
The Nerazzurri assistant coach gave his thoughts to Italian broadcaster DAZN, via FCInterNews, after yesterday’s 2-0 win over Como.
Inter Milan took on Como in Serie A yesterday. They got a 2-0 win over their newly-promoted Lombard rivals.
However, that result was not enough for the Nerazzurri.
Napoli also won their match against Cagliari in Naples. Therefore, the Partenopei held onto their advantage at the top of the table.
There is a big feeling of regret for Inter.
Not just for the last few weeks, in which the Nerazzurri have looked tired. But also for the fact that they never got into a really consistent run of form in the league.

After yesterday’s end to the Serie A title race, Inter assistant coach Massimiliano Farris said that there’s “no anger, but we’re disappointed.”
“We were also disappointed on Sunday evening,” the Nerazzurri assistant coach continued. “Knowing we’d had a great opportunity [against Lazio] but were unavailable to take advantage.”
“But the beauty of football is that now we’re a week away from living a great dream.”
“There’s a hint of regret for the season that’s just gone,” added the Inter assistant coach. “But on Saturday, we’re playing our sixtieth match of the season.”
“Unfortunately, this meant that we lost a step in the league.”
“Full credit to Napoli,” said Massimiliano Farris. “They’re a strong team.”
“This is their second title in three years. They have top players, the club has done well.”
“On a level of sportsmanship it’s only right to congratulate our opponent,” said Farris.
“And now we have to quickly put it behind us and go after our great dream.”
The Inter assistant coach then noted that “it was a league title race without a high points total.”
“Last season, partly because of our exit from the Champions League on penalties, we changed gears. There was a total focus on the league, and we dominated.”
“This time around, we were up against a team that were able to stand up to us right to the end.”
