Inter have taken their first concrete steps to sign Luis Henrique from Olympique Marseille, preparing to open negotiations to beat competition from Bayern Munich.
The Nerazzurri have reportedly made the Brazilian winger one of their top priorities in recent weeks, with plans to seal a deal to bring him to the San Siro before the start of the Club World Cup.
This interest appears to be more than just speculation, as German transfer expert Florian Plettenberg confirmed on Monday that Inter have officially ‘entered the race’ for Luis Henrique, with a €29m offer, including add-ons, reportedly on the table for the 23-year-old.

However, two main obstacles stand in Inter’s way to secure the transfer.
First, Olympique Marseille value the player at least €35m, which may require lengthy negotiations to reach an agreement. Notably, their sporting director, Mehdi Benatia, was recently spotted at San Siro, presumably to discuss terms with the Nerazzurri.

Secondly, Plettenberg also mentioned that Bayern Munich remain ‘seriously interested’ in the player, with their directors reportedly in talks with Luis Henrique’s representatives, believing he could play an important role in the squad next season.
