Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi is facing a dilemma between going for broke in Serie A or focusing on the Champions League final against PSG.

This is the view in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, after results for Inter and Napoli yesterday evening.

The complexion of the Serie A title race certainly changed yesterday evening.

Napoli still have the advantage. However, their advantage is now as slender as it could possibly be.

Inter Milan got the job done away to Torino, winning 2-0. On the other hand, the Partenopei twice squandered a 2-0 advantage against Genoa, settling for a point.

Therefore, there is now just a single point separating the two title rivals at the top of the table.

This is certainly good news for Inter as far as their efforts to defend their Serie A title.

The Nerazzurri now know that all they need is for Napoli to slip up once more. Another draw could be enough for them to go back ahead, if they beat both Lazio and Como.

Moreover, it is now less likely that Inter will have to play a “play-off” against Napoli for the title. Either they will finish ahead of or behind the Partenopei, but not likely level on points.

Therefore, Inter will hardly want the regret of failing to capitalize in the event that Napoli do drop points again.

However, there is also the Champions League final to think about.

Inter coach Simone Inzaghi rotated his squad significantly against Torino yesterday. He made changes following the Champions League semifinal second leg against Barcelona.

It seems unlikely that the Inter coach will do the same in subsequent matches against Lazio and Como.

And that is all the more the case now that the Serie A title margins are so fine.

But the Gazzetta consider whether this could lead Inter to put too much into their last two league matches.

That could prove a risky approach in view of the upcoming Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain.
