Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi is a doubt for Sunday’s Serie A match against Empoli due to an injury concern.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews. They report that the 25-year-old is suffering from some muscular fatigue, and could have to sit the match out.
Over the last couple weeks, Inter midfielder Frattesi has been at the centre of some strong transfer links.
Reports suggest that the Italian international wants to leave Inter. And Roma are particularly keen on his signature.
But in the meantime, Frattesi still remains an Inter player.
Frattesi has come off the bench in each of Inter’s last two matches. He was a substitute appearance in Serie A matches against Venezia and Bologna.
The likes of Hakan Calhanoglu and Henrikh Mkhityaryan have been absent through injury.
However, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has preferred Piort Zielinski to Frattesi in midfield.
Nevertheless, Sky confirm, Frattesi has picked up a muscle problem in recent appearances.
The former Sassuolo midfielder is suffering from some muscular fatigue, Sky report.
And this is enough that it puts a bit question mark above Frattesi’s availability for Inter’s next match.
The Nerazzurri host Empoli in Serie A on Sunday evening.
With Mkhitaryan just coming back from injury and Calhanoglu still out, Frattesi’s absence in midfield would certainly come as a big blow for Inter.
