With the latest Wolves defeat, the patience is running out among the St. Mary's faithful. Unsurprisingly, the crowd booed the Saints and boss Juric, who couldn't help but just acknowledge their misery.
One of the biggest fears of any underperforming head coach is the international breaks. Unless they oversee a win in the prior fixture, the sacking atmosphere only continues to bulge further among the fanbase.
As things stand, Southampton is the next recipient of these circumstances. Well, no Saint would want this scenario to happen but they don't have many reasons to trust their manager simultaneously.
Even if there were any, Ivan Juric certainly fumbled that faith with his faulty player selections. Deservedly, the home crowd made their disapproval known to the Croatian whose response was rather mild.
Instead of sparking dim optimism, Juric apparently accepted those vocal critiques.
In his own words, Juric replied: "I think if they do like to boo, it's the minimum they can do to express that they are not happy with what we are doing, with my changes, with my sub."
Honesty is always appreciated in football but Juric sounds more like acknowledging his helplessness at Southampton. There is no denying that progress has been going at snail's pace but having a lowdown quickly translates to the rest of the first team members.
Hence, it's becoming blatantly obvious that the former is running short of ideas to guide this young team.
At such a crucial juncture, swapping managers presents the best solution. Fortunately, Southampton is lucky in this regard to have the luxury of choosing one among a number of alternatives.
Now, cutting that excitement short, the club must factor all attributes while handing their current roster to a new coach. After all, the Saints have gone back to square one in the process of constantly changing multiple decision-makers.
