Jack Wilshere is the odds-on favourite to become the next Plymouth Argyle manager.

The 33-year-old oversaw Norwich City's final two games of last season with the Canaries – a goalless draw with Middlesbrough before a 4-2 win over Cardiff City on the final day.

The former Arsenal midfielder and youth team coach left Norwich after those games to pursue his managerial career which could see him take over at Home Park.

Argyle were relegated from the Championship and will play next season in League One but are without a coach following Miron Muslic's departure for Schalke 04.

Wilshere looks like the likely candidate to replace Muslic with one bookie currently offering odds of 1/2 that the young manager will be in charge to try and help the Pilgrims return to the second tier.
