Joao Felix played an important role in AC Milan’s narrow win against Hellas Verona, creating issues for the latter’s defence throughout the clash. Afterwards, he spoke to the media and discussed the return against Feyenoord, among other things.
The Portuguese playmaker made his third start for the Rossoneri this evening, once again playing in a No.10 role of sorts, and he did well. In our player ratings, he was handed 6.5/10 for constantly being on the move and worrying the Verona defence, even if he didn’t get a goal or an assist.
Speaking to DAZN after the game, as transcribed by MilanNews, the Chelsea loanee discussed the performance and what will be needed from the team against Feyenoord. He expressed confidence that they will score, but also highlighted the main worry.
On the win…
“I’m very happy here. We are improving day by day. We could have scored more goals, but the important thing is that we got the three points.”
Now Feyenoord…
“It’s our most important game of the season. We simply have to win. We really have a lot of quality, we will score, I’m sure of it. We will have to be good at not conceding. We have to win the duels, like we did today.”
The game against Feyenoord is scheduled for Tuesday evening, more specifically the early kick-off slot, and Milan will have to overturn the current 1-0 deficit. With the fans at San Siro as the support, they should be able to get the job done.
