Kevin De Bruyne to weigh up European offers ahead of Inter Miami and Saudi Arabia transfer proposals

Manchester City could yet see Kevin De Bruyne leave the club for another side in European competition, according to a new report.
The 33-year-old confirmed earlier this month that after the best part of a decade in east Manchester, this would be his final season in sky blue and white with a decision taken not to extend his contract beyond this summer.
The legendary Belgian midfielder will leave behind a remarkable legacy having established himself as one of the greatest footballers ever to grace the English game, winning everything available to him and in many cases, on multiple occasions.
With the 2026 FIFA World Cup looming for respective nations, there remains a clear determination from De Bruyne’s side to continue playing deeper into his twilight years, albeit not under the care of Manchester City.
And while there has been plenty of conversation around the next destination for the former Wolfsburg and Chelsea playmaker, largely centred around a move away from the continent, it appears as though the possibility of a new team within Europe still remains.
According to the information of The Times’ Paul Hirst, while De Bruyne has attracted interest from the likes of Inter Miami over in Major League Soccer and clubs in Saudi Arabia, the Belgian will look at any options he receives from Europe before deciding his next move.
The attacking midfielder was recently quizzed on the prospect of an extended stay in English football beyond Manchester City this summer, and while speaking to Norwegian television after a strong performance in a 5-2 win over Crystal Palace, that particular idea was kept open.
“I don’t know. Honestly, I don’t know. It could be, it could be not. It’s very hard because the decision of leaving has not been that long [ago] so nothing can be decided in a week,” De Bruyne said.
He continued, “And also in the football world, I don’t think everything comes in a week. It goes very slowly. I’ve not even seen my family since the announcement. So I need to speak [with them] and I need to see whatever team wants me, so I don’t know, I have no idea, so we’ll see.”
The Manchester City legend also admitted, “I don’t know what’s going to happen but if teams can convince me something sporting is nice, a nice project, I’m able. I know I’m not the youngest but I still feel I’m able to perform at a very high level.”
For now, all the reports are centred around the possibility of a move to Major League Soccer for De Bruyne amid a clear pursuit from David Beckham’s Inter Miami, and there is currently no indication of a concerted effort being made by any club in England or Europe at present.
