Dr. Fabio Rodia provided the latest updates on the conditions of Lazio duo Matteo Guendouzi and Manuel Lazzari. The Biancocelesti are preparing to travel to Turin where they’ll resume their Serie A campaign with a tough contest against Juventus at the Allianz Stadium.

Marco Baroni and the technical staff have been sweating over Guendouzi’s condition, as the midfielder returned to Rome with a bruised toe after being on the receiving end of a stomp during the clash between Belgium and France in the UEFA Nations League.

Guendouzi Pushing to Recover for Juventus Clash

Luckily, the medical tests ruled out any fractures. However, the 25-year-old’s availability for Saturday’s encounter remains in doubt. Dr. Rodia ensures he and the rest of the medical staff will be closely monitoring the Frenchman’s condition ahead of the showdown in Turin, but cannot confirm whether he’ll be available or not.

We’re working with Matteo to see how much recovery time he requires and try to bring him back to the team as soon as possible. I cannot tell if he can play against Juventus, it’s not for me to say. Now we’re at work and we’ll see what we can do.

Lazzari’s Condition

Moreover, Rodia confirmed Lazzari’s recovery is going according to plan. The Italian right-back sustained a muscle injury that will keep him out for several weeks.

Manuel is here (at Villa Mafalda) for routine checks, since he had an injury. Now we’re monitoring his recovery and everything is going well.
