Leicester City have signed Icelandic international forward Hlín Eiríksdóttir from Swedish top-flight side Kristianstads on a two-and-a-half-year deal.

She has 43 caps for her country and scored 26 goals in 51 appearances over two seasons for Kristianstads, helping them finish fourth in the Damallsvenskan last year.

Speaking to Foxes Hub, Hlín said: “I am really happy to be here and looking forward to getting started with the team. I am honoured to be here.

“I am coming here with ambition, a will to win and to work hard. I can spread some energy across the team on and off the pitch. I hope to contribute with some goals. I feel like I have such a great opportunity to improve here.”
