The site is regarded as a significant development opportunity both in the short and long term.

A resolution on future plans for the site are not expected in the immediate future with that decision expected to come early next year rather than by the end of 2024.

It remains to be seen what those future plans will be but there is no denying that the 2.5 acres site would offer Liverpool plenty of opportunities to utilise the fan experience around Anfield - especially as the stadium continues to host not just football matches but concerts as well, such as Dua Lipa's concert set to take place next year.
