Liverpool travel to West Ham in the Premier League on Sunday evening looking to extend their lead at the top of the table.
Arne Slot’s side are back in action after a 3-1 win over Leicester City at Anfield on Boxing Day. It’s been a dream start to the season for the Reds, who can reach 45 points before the new year with a win at the London Stadium. The Merseysiders have lost just once in all competitions so far this season and are unbeaten on the road.
Liverpool take on a West Ham team who have shown signs of improvement from a tough start. Julen Lopetegui has eased the pressure on his position with a four-game unbeaten run that included a 1-0 win at Southampton last time out.
Dominik Szoboszlai is out for Liverpool after the Hungarian picked up his fifth booking of the season against Leicester. Curtis Jones scored in that win over the Foxes and should retain his place in midfield.
The only confirmed absentees for Arne Slot are Ibrahima Konate and Conor Bradley, with the defensive duo not yet fit to return. Luis Diaz could be recalled to the XI after being rested on Boxing Day, while Diogo Jota is pushing for his first start since returning from injury.
Liverpool predicted XI: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Salah, Jones, Gakpo, Diaz.
West Ham host Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday 29th December 2024. Kick-off at the London Stadium is 17:15 GMT.
A UK audience can watch the game on Sky Sports Premier League and Main Event from 16:15pm.
