Is there any player in the world as on form as Ousmane Dembélé (27) is right now? The France international, much-maligned throughout his career for his lack of end product, he has been banging in the goals since the turn of the year.

In 2025, Dembélé he has 15 goals in eight games, including 10 goals in the last 18 days. The numbers are quite astonishing. He already has 23 goals this season. For context, he only netted six in the whole of last season and his highest goal tally in a single season was back in 2018/19 when he was playing for Barcelona (14).

He netted another brace as Paris Saint-Germain swept aside Stade Brestois in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League play-off. They will return to the Parc des Princes next week with a 3-0 lead to defend. Les Parisiens’ manager, Luis Enrique, was at pains to explain Dembélé’s change in fortunes in front of goal.

“If you see Ousmane, you have to ask him what he ate for Christmas! We see him at training and at this moment in time, he is full of confidence,” said the PSG manager.
