Man City predicted lineup vs Tottenham - Premier League

A sense of powerlessness pervaded over a once supreme force on Sunday afternoon, as Liverpool eased to a 2-0 victory over Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
It was a performance worthy of 'changing of the guard' cries, but we've long known that a new champion would ascend to City's throne this term.
Pep Guardiola's side have produced far worse performances in a wretched 2024/25 campaign, but the absence of Erling Haaland rendered their threat minimal against a world class opponent.
Tottenham are not Liverpool, but N17 has proven to be a cursed postcode for Guardiola-led City outfits. They've claimed just one Premier League win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium since Spurs moved in six years ago.
City require points to aid their pursuit of Champions League football for 2025/26, and here's the starting XI Guardiola could pick on Wednesday night.

GK: Ederson - The Brazilian has enjoyed a run in the team after it looked like Stefan Ortega was close to usurping him. Ortega pulled off a wonder save on this ground last season to essentially win City the title, but Ederson should keep his place.
RB: Rico Lewis - It's been a difficult season for the young full-back, who's struggled amid the Cityzens' collective collapse. He'll be looking to finish the season strong, but Lewis has a job on his hands if he's to deter the club from signing a right-back this summer.
CB: Abdukodir Khusanov - The January addition impressed at the weekend and has settled in after a nervy start to his Man City career.
CB: Ruben Dias - Guardiola's likely to tinker with his backline again given the quick turnaround, with Dias coming back into the team. John Stones and Manuel Akanji are sidelined.
LB: Nathan Ake - Josko Gvardiol could earn a breather in midweek after a prolonged run in the side. Ake hasn't played all that much at left-back this term, but we know this is a role he can perform to a high level.
CM: Nico Gonzalez - Gonzalez didn't match the heights of his Newcastle performance against Real Madrid or Liverpool, and he has a big task on his hands if he's to contain Spurs' fluid midfield on Wednesday.
CM: Bernardo Silva - The long-time Cityzen didn't see the field on Sunday so could be rotated back into Guardiola's XI in midweek.
RM: Savinho - Savinho has impressed off both flanks this term, and he's certainly a player City can build around. His production hasn't been off the charts, but that will come in time.
AM: Omar Marmoush - A persistent threat, Marmoush is bound to be a hit in Manchester and he'll benefit from Haaland's return from injury in N17. He will have his moments to shine in transition on Wednesday night.
LM: Jeremy Doku - Doku dazzled just as much as he frustrated against Liverpool, with his one-on-one work divine. However, he was let down by sub-par execution in the final third. Still, the Belgian offered enough to warrant another start.
ST: Erling Haaland - After sitting out the previous two games with a knee injury, Haaland is set for a return to the City XI. The back-to-back Golden Boot winner scored in N17 last season, but has a mammoth task if he's to catch Mohamed Salah at the top of the scoring charts this term.
