Manchester United have reportedly identified Hueng-min Son as a potential transfer target for next summer.
The 32-year-old is a Tottenham Hotspur legend who has been plying his trade at the club since 2015. He even inherited the captain’s armband in the summer of 2023 following Harry Kane’s departure to Bayern Munich.
The South Korean star is currently running on a contract expiring in the summer of 2026. While the possibility of a renewal is on the table, the player’s future remains up in the air.
So according to Fichajes.net, United are looking to pounce on the situation and launch a significant offer or the Spurs captain who would be able to enhance Ruben Amorim’s less-than-impressive attacking department.

The Spanish portal claims the Red Devils are ‘going all out’ for the experienced striker who remains one of the most prolific players in the Premier League. This season, he has contibuted with 10 goals and as many assists across all competitions for the North Londoners. All in all, Son has 172 goals and 84 assits to his name in his 443 appearances for the club.
The South Korea international usually plays on the left side of the attack, but can also lead the line as a centre-forward. Hence, he would be a direct replacement for Marcus Rashford who is currently on loan at Aston Villa.
The Villains have the option to buy the 27-year-old at the end of the season for £40 million. And if he continues impressive displays like the one against Chelsea on Saturday (providing two assists off the bench), they could be decide to activate this clause. Villa boss Unai Emery hailed the Man Utd youth product as ‘fantastic’ after his weekend exploits.
And even if Rashford ends up leaving Berginham, he’s unlikely to dwell at Carrington beyond the summer as long as Ruben Amorim is at the helm.
