Manchester United have VfB Stuttgart winger Jamie Leweling “on their list” | OneFootball

Manchester United are keeping tabs on talented VfB Stuttgart winger Jamie Leweling.

The 23-year-old has been in sparkling form for Stuttgart this season and according to Sky Germany journalist Kerry Hau, via Südwest24, he is being scouted by United, who “have him on their list”.

Hau noted that “one or two top clubs” are keen on the young forward, and that United talent-spotters were present at Stuttgart’s 5-1 demolition of Borussia Dortmund a couple of weeks ago.

Leweling played the full 90 minutes against Dortmund, picking up a yellow card as his side ran amok.

He has been productive from the right flank this season, bagging one goal and two assists in all competitions.

Leweling chipped in with four goals and seven assists last season as his side secured a surprise runner-up spot in the Bundesliga to get them a seat at Europe’s top table.

And the 23-year-old teed up Deniz Undav’s equaliser in Stuttgart’s first Champions League clash of the season, a 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid.

Leweling’s impressive performances in this campaign have led to him receiving a call up to the German national side from Julian Nagelsmann.

The former Bayern Munich manager turned to him following Jamal Musiala’s withdrawal through injury.

On paper United are well-stocked on the right, but none of Erik ten Hag’s options on that flank have managed to make the position their own this season.

The Dutchman has tried the likes of Amad Diallo, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford in that role, but each has somewhat flattered to deceive in a spluttering start to the campaign.
