Christian Eriksen is expected to leave Manchester United at the end of the current campaign.
Eriksen’s contract with the club expires in the summer and there have been no negotiations over a potential extension to that deal.
Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Ruben Amorim will assess his squad after arriving from Sporting Lisbon this month before a final decision is made, but the expectation is that Eriksen will move on as a free agent.
Eriksen signed for Manchester United on a free transfer from Brentford in July 2022 and has since made 85 appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions.
The Denmark international has four goals and three assists from 13 appearances this season, but is unlikely to be handed an extension to his contract. Eriksen will turn 33 in February.
He has featured sporadically in the Premier League this season with just five starts, despite the absence of Kobbie Mainoo through injury.
With Manuel Ugarte improving following his summer arrival from Paris Saint-Germain and Mason Mount recently returning from injury, the competition for a regular role has increased.
