Kyle Walker’s (34) days at Manchester City may be numbered with the England international tempted by a move away from the Etihad Stadium, however, his prospective move to AC Milan may be under threat, as L’Équipe report.
Walker has informed Pep Guardiola of his intention to leave Manchester City this January. AC Milan have looked to be the most likely destination for the full-back but Serie A regulations could prove a stumbling block. Talks have not made any significant advancement in recent hours, as L’Équipe report as Italian regulations prohibit Serie A sides from signing more than one British player per year.
The Milan-based club are also in talks to sign Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford (27). The England international, out-of-favour at his formative club is attracting interest from across Europe but the most concrete interest comes from AC Milan. The Italian club’s priority is strengthening in forward areas this month, L’Équipe understands. As a result, talks over the arrival of Walker at the San Siro are on hold, for now.
