Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Matheus Cunha has insisted he has no desire to leave the club in the near future.

An excellent individual season - 12 goals in 24 games to date - has seen Cunha emerge as a transfer target for a number of the Premier League's elite sides, with Arsenal and Manchester United among those tipped to launch bids for the Brazilian in January.

Cunha inked a new contract on February 1 but that has done little to scare off his suitors, with a summer transfer still a subject of significant speculation.

While there are expected to be several lucrative offers on the table, Cunha insisted he wants to continue showing his loyalty to Wolves.

"I never think about leaving, honestly," he told Football Focus. "I know I have a lot of things to do already and I always said that this was the club that gave me the chance to come back.

"They opened the door for me and I always felt I wanted to give back everything so to leave in this type of situation is hard. I am so happy to be here. I hope to continue doing good things."

Cunha added: "When Wolves came in, one of my dreams was playing in the Premier League and Wolves gave me the opportunity to be here."

Reports claim Cunha's new contract includes a release clause worth around £62m, which Wolves will likely demand to be triggered if they are to part ways with the 25-year-old.
