Christian Pulisic could not hide his delight as AC Milan produced a second-half comeback to beat Juventus and qualify for the Supercoppa Italiana final.

Sergio Conceicao’s debut as the new head coach of Milan seemed to be going miserably when it took over 60 minutes for the first shot on target, very similar to the 0-0 draw with Juve earlier in the season in Serie A.

Kenan Yildiz had put the Bianconeri 1-0 up after 21 minutes this time so the Rossoneri were chasing the game, but they engineered a turnaround in the last half-hour thanks to some foolishness and some fortune.

Firstly Pulisic was felled inside the area by the ex-Milan man Manuel Locatelli and he levelled from the spot, then Yunus Musah had a cross take a wild deflection past Di Gregorio and into the net for what would be the winner.

Pulisic was presented with the MVP award for the game after the full-time whistle and he spoke to SportMediaset to reveal his emotions, with MilanNews relayed his comments.

Christian, your reaction to the game?

“We’re in the final! Great team spirit. We didn’t do very well in the first half but we’ll take the final.”

Is it a victory that could be the turning point?

“Yes, 100%. It gives us confidence to move forward.”

Against Inter, do you want to repeat the victory achieved in the league?

“Yes, of course. We want to win against Inter. They are a good team, we have to play well.”
