Milan tease RB Leipzig with Okafor update after failed medical | OneFootball

Milan appear to have taken a subtle dig at RB Leipzig in their latest social media update, sharing a video from training with the caption: ‘Injured? Definitely NOah’, after the player in question, Noah Okafor, failed a medical with the Bundesliga side earlier in the transfer window.

Okafor had flown over to Leipzig to have a medical ahead of a loan move with a €25m option to buy attached. He found himself back in Milan the day after, however, after the Bundesliga outfit learned that he would not be immediately fit to play.

On Thursday, the Rossoneri social media team shared footage of Okafor back in training at Milanello, along with a slightly teasing caption.

Milan had been hoping to move the Switzerland international on in order to free up space in the squad and on the wage bill to sign a new attacker in January. Reports at the time of Okafor’s medical with Leipzig indicated that Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford was the top candidate to come in

That route has since cooled off, and will no longer be possible at all once Milan announce the signing of England international Kyle Walker, who arrived in Italy on Thursday.
