Bologna’s home fixture against Milan, originally scheduled for Saturday at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara, was officially postponed after heavy rain and flooding hit the city in recent days.

The Emilia Romagna region and Bologna in particular suffered serious damages due to a wave of bad weather, forcing the municipality to put the game off for safety reasons since the stadium is located in one of the ‘most critical areas’ of the city.

Bologna Mayor Matteo Lepore said that Rossoblu’s game against Milan won’t be played on Saturday as originally planned after the municipality issued an official statement calling off the game because of bad weather.

The Stadio Dall’Ara fixture will be postponed and rescheduled at a later date. According to Calcio&Finanza, the first available date would be December 18th.

The second round of matches of the Coppa Italia round-of-16 is scheduled for that day, but both sides will have already played their games in the previous week.
