Hoffenheim have completed the deal to bring Ivorian teenage talent Bazoumana Touré to the Bundesliga for a reported €10m. The 18-year-old was unveiled on Saturday afternoon. Kicker reports that the Hammarby IF winger had several potential suitors both within the Bundesliga and even the Premier League, with Brighton showing an interest.
In his official club statement accompanying the signing, TSG managing director Andreas Schicker acknowledged competitive interest from other clubs and labelled the final purchase a significant victory for the TSG administrative team.
“Bazoumana has caught the eye of many top European clubs with his consistently strong performances in Sweden,” Schicker’s statement began. “We are thus all the more pleased that he has ultimately decided on TSG Hoffenheim for his next career move.
“Bazoumana is a highly talented and very exciting player who – despite his young age – already possesses excellent skills and still has enormous potential for development,” the statement continued. “We will give him the time he needs to settle in here in Kraichgau and take the next steps.“
