Manchester City take on Fulham tomorrow in their final Premier League fixture of the 24/25 season. Pep Guardiola’s side must pick up at least a point to secure Champions League football for next season. The job isn’t done for City despite their impressive 3-1 win over Bournemouth at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday evening. Heading into tomorrow’s match there appears to be only two players unavailable for selection for Manchester City for tomorrow’s match.
Mateo Kovacic will miss tomorrow’s match at Craven Cottage due to suspension. The Croatian international was sent off during the second half of City’s 3-1 win over Bournemouth. That is a blow for Pep Guardiola’s side based on how well Kovacic has played recently.
Speaking during his pre-game press conference yesterday, Pep Guardiola was asked about the injury status of his squad. He revealed that only John Stones is out of tomorrow’s match due to injury. When asked about the status of his squad, Guardiola told the media: “Except John [Stones], everyone else is fit.”
There will be several selection headaches for Pep Guardiola for tomorrow’s match. He will almost have a full-strength squad to choose from. That is good news for Guardiola ahead of another crucial fixture for his team. But it does give him a headache of sorts. Guardiola doesn’t like to leave players out of his matchday squad. He will have to for Sunday’s match based on how many players are available for the clash with Fulham.
Mateo Kovacic and John Stones will miss Manchester City’s final game of the season against Fulham tomorrow. They are the only two players who are unavailable for the match at Craven Cottage. In a season where the Manchester City squad has battled injuries all season long that is good news for Pep Guardiola’s side.
