Osimhen Keen on Chelsea Move with Arsenal and Man Utd Watching Closely

Victor Osimhen’s Premier League ambition has been a whisper carried on the breeze for more than a year, but now it sounds more like a call to arms. The Nigerian forward, electric and raw, appears set on Stamford Bridge as his destination of choice. With Chelsea once again circling, and their need for a consistent goalscorer pressing, this could be the summer that the long dance finally ends with a signature.
It was John Obi Mikel, a figure who knows the Stamford Bridge corridors better than most, who gave voice to what has long been rumoured. “He [Osimhen] wants to play for Chelsea,” Mikel told beIN Sports. “I hope [he’ll be playing] somewhere in the Premier League. I know where we [Chelsea] stopped in terms of the contract, I know where we are. It’s an easy fix, because we’ve done all the hard work last summer. It’s so easy to just pick it up and then the deal is done.”
This isn’t a story of speculative links or agent-driven nudges. Osimhen was close last summer, in fact, that the only thing missing was ink on paper. But as negotiations stalled, he departed Napoli on loan to Galatasaray, where his fire has continued to burn. Thirty-one goals and seven assists across all competitions speak volumes for a player not cooling his heels but warming up for the next leap.

Chelsea are not without competition. Arsenal and Manchester United continue to hover in the background, admiring, probing, waiting for any delay. Osimhen’s compatriot, Nigeria captain William Troost-Ekong, confirmed the breadth of interest. “I know he’s a Chelsea fan, but I also know he’s had talks with all the top teams. It’s up to him what he chooses. He will fit into every team.”
That universal appeal brings challenges. Wages are expected to be a stumbling block—at least in England. Clubs in Saudi Arabia remain the only suitors reportedly capable of matching his demands without flinching. Still, the striker’s preference seems rooted in London, in history, and in a club desperately craving his kind of movement, his type of finishing.
Enzo Maresca is assessing all his attacking options. Names like Hugo Ekitike, Liam Delap, and Benjamin Sesko are being monitored. But none offer the certainty or presence of Osimhen. The Nigerian is not a project; he’s a proven threat, the sort of centre-forward who could elevate Chelsea’s erratic forward line and serve as the fulcrum of a new, more direct approach.
Osimhen, by every metric and murmur, is Premier League-bound. Whether Chelsea complete the move this time, or watch again as rivals swoop in, could be a defining point in their summer rebuild.
