Pau Cubarsí on the possibility of forming a partnership with Real Madrid’s ‘spectacular’ Raúl Asencio | OneFootball

Barcelona star Pau Cubarsí has this week opened up on his appreciation for the talents of Real Madrid counterpart Raúl Asencio.

Defender Asencio is for his part of course in the midst of a special week.

This comes after the 22-year-old was rewarded for his brilliant form on the books of Real Madrid with a first-ever senior call-up on the part of Spain.

Asencio, in turn, has since linked up with his new teammates at international level.

And one player who certainly appears to be excited when it comes to the potential impact of the Real Madrid man is the aforementioned Pau Cubarsí.

Speaking during an interview with COPE this week, stopper Cubarsí was drawn on the possibility of forming a partnership with Asencio on the international stage.

And the Barcelona starlet went on to respond:

“Raúl Asencio? He’s a good guy, he’s having a spectacular season and I think we could make a good duo.”
