Manchester United legends Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic, Edwin van der Sar, Dimitar Berbatov and Park Ji-sung have been pictured together in Seoul, South Korea.

All five players were part of the last truly successful Manchester United side as they all won multiple Premier League trophies with the Red Devils.

Ferdinand, Vidic, Van der Sar and Park all played in a part in the club’s last Champions League triumph in 2008, cementing their place as legends of the club.

All five players represented the club for a combined 1375 times in glittering careers at Old Trafford.

Rio Ferdinand posted an image on his Instagram page of the five former players pictured together, all dressed in traditional South Korean clothing.

The former United number five posted “When Ji takes us shopping in Seoul” and also joked that they bought one for Patrice Evra, who was not at the event.

The Daily Star reported that “the United legends had travelled to Asia to play a friendly match organised by the game company, Nexon, in association with EA Sports.”

Nexon had organised the clash between FC Spear and Shield United but “with a twist” where one team was full of attackers and the other was only made up of defenders.

“Alongside the United icons, Kaka, Luis Figo, Eden Hazard, Carlos Tevez, Michael Owen, Rivaldo, Diego Forlan, Thierry Henry and Alessandro Del Piero were also present.”

The Korea Herald reports that the game ended with a 4-1 victory for Shield with former Real Madrid midfielder Clarence Seedorf stealing the show with a sumptuous goal from the half-way line and three assists.

The biggest cheer of the night came when national hero Park came off the bench to convert a penalty for FC Spear.

In times of struggle for United fans where results and performances often disappoint, nostalgic filled moments like this are always welcome to remember better times at the club and the hope that they will one day return.
