Player ratings: Como 1-2 Milan: Diao debut delight, Leao turns it around | OneFootball

Milan came from behind once again under SErgio Conceicao to record a 2-1 win away against Como in Serie A on Tuesday evening, as goals from Theo Hernandez and Rafael Leao cancelled out an impressive effort from Assane Diao on his debut, just a few days after joining from Real Betis.

Here are the player ratings from an entertaining evening in Como.

Como 1-2 Milan: Player ratings

Como: Butez 6.5; Van der Brempt 6.5, Goldaniga 5, Dossena 6 (Gabrielloni 6) , Kempf 6; Engelhardt 5.5, Da Cunha 6; Diao 7.5, Strefezza 6 (Caqueret ), Fadera 6; Cutrone 5 (Belotti 6).

Best Como player: Diao 7.5 – On his full debut for Como, and only a starter due to the injury that ruled Nico Paz out, Diao showed why Como were willing to spend €12m to acquire his services from Real Betis. He really grew into the game at the beginning of the first half, and capped off an impressive debut with the opening goal, which he dispatched neatly past Maignan. In doing so, he became Como’s youngest ever foreign goalscorer.

Coach: Cesc Fabregas 6.5 – For a while, it looked like Como were capable of pulling off a surprise victory. Milan were not completely at the races during the first half, and then Como came out looking the more threatening of the sides early in the second period. That soon changed though, as Como collapsed by conceding twice in the space of five minutes.

Best Milan player: Rafael Leao 7.5 – Once again, it took Milan a little while to get going, but after falling behind, the Portugal international began to step up, and is clearly the most threatening attacker the Rossoneri have when he is on his best form. He had a couple of threatening runs from deep, but his moment of the match came after being freed one-on-one, when he was able to lift a lovely dink over Jean Butez to put his side into the lead.

Coach: Sergio Conceicao 6 – Another occasion where Milan struggled to get themselves ahead in the first half. They had their chances, but were not able to find the lead in the opening 45 minutes. Conceicao’s Milan are making a bit of a habit of having to fall behind before they start playing at their best, as was also the case in the Supercoppa Italiana against both Juventus and Inter.
