Former Hammer James Tomkins has given his full backing to Graham Potter following his appointment as Head Coach.
Potter succeeded Julen Lopetegui last week, following what was a disastrous spell under the Spaniard, with former Brighton boss Potter taking the reigns.
Speaking to The West Ham Way, Academy graduate Tomkins, who played over 200 games for the club, before moving to Crystal Palace back in 2018 – has backed Potter to be a success in east London.
“I think it is a positive appointment and I think the job he done at Brighton was impressive,” said the former Hammer. “Then going to Chelsea we realised how hard that was so hard to judge off the back of that.
“So overall I feel the club and Graham Potter are right for each other and with some backing in this window, I believe the results will improve and get the club heading the right way up the table.”
