Predicted Newcastle team v Ipswich

Looking at the Newcastle team v Ipswich.
The NUFC players hoping to bounce back to winning form.
Premier League victories over West Ham, Brentford, Leicester, Man U and Palace, plus of course in the middle of that, the magnificent performance and triumph at Wembley against Liverpool.
United having then that setback at Villa last weekend, though now looking to make it seven wins in eight games.
So, what can we expect the Newcastle team v Ipswich to be?
The biggest story this week, was of course the very welcome return of Eddie Howe to work.
Back at the training ground and also once again in charge of media duties ahead of this next match.
On Friday morning, Eddie Howe indicated that Fabian Schar should be fine, having been subbed off late in that Villa match as a precaution.
Great news on Sven Botman as well, with the NUFC Head Coach stating that the Dutch defender had has trained well all week and so we could potentially see him return to the matchday squad today.
So as things appear to stand, only long-term absentees Lewis Hall and Jamaal Lascelles will be definitely unavailable for this Ipswich match today
So where does that leave us…
My predicted Newcastle team v Ipswich:
Pope, Trippier, Schar, Burn, Livramento, Tonali, Bruno, Joelinton, Gordon, Isak, Murphy
Just the one change from the starting eleven that started all of these last seven matches.
My one predicted change is Anthony Gordon in for Harvey Barnes.
Not that Barnes was any worse than most of the rest against Villa, he put in a superb cross for the Schar equaliser and wasn’t one of our very weakest players on the day.
For me, more a case of Anthony Gordon was always going to come back into the team at some point and against this struggling Ipswich side, I think Eddie Howe will be desperate to get them on the back foot from the first whistle. He will want Gordon on his favoured left side and his more direct running and extra pace compared to Barnes, will see the scouser return today.
So I see that as a more positive than negative move, as in, Eddie Howe wanting to get Anthony Gordon into the team, rather than desperate t drop Harvey Barnes from it.
Overall though, I think that after the exact same team picked up six wins in a row before losing to Villa, Eddie Howe will see that as a blip, in a tough away match against another quality side in form.
With Sven Botman surely limited to starting from the bench at best today, the other reality of course is that there aren’t many stand out options of players who you would think Eddie Howe would be considering to replace those who have delivered so many wins in recent times.
Difficult to see any chance of replacing any of the keeper or back four, certainly not any of the midfield. Isak has no doubt felt the benefit of a full week without a game to recharge, whilst Murphy has been in great form on the right, creating and scoring goals.
It doesn’t mean that the likes of Lewis Miley or Joe Willock are poor players, more a case of no pressing case for them to replace those currently in the team.
