Marquinhos (30) is the symbol of Paris Saint-Germain’s QSI era. The Brazilian has been there almost since the very start, arriving in the summer of 2013. He has seen PSG become the dominant force in French football. However, the UEFA Champions League continues to elude him and his teammates.

PSG are currently in the semi-finals of the Champions League and will face Arsenal in the first leg of their tie on Tuesday. As reported by L’Équipe, this may be Marquinhos’ final chance to win the highly coveted trophy.

The PSG captain was the subject of intense interest from Saudi Arabia last summer before ultimately opting to remain at the Parc des Princes. The Gulf State’s interest not only remains, but it has since grown. Amid that growing interest in recent months, PSG’s stance has changed. Previously untouchable, the Ligue 1 champions are now open to a departure come the summer.
