Paris Saint-Germain arrive in north London tonight with history in their sights, as they prepare for a Champions League semi-final first leg against Arsenal. The narrative around this game is built not just on ambition, but on a PSG side that, for once, have no excuses when it comes to squad availability.

Luis Enrique’s men are fully fit, rested, and ready — a luxury that gives the manager a rare and enviable tactical freedom.
There are no injuries or suspensions hampering PSG’s preparations. As reported, “PSG were able to rest key players last time out against Nice and are not currently held back by any injuries or suspensions”. It leaves Enrique with an open canvas to construct his strongest lineup, although history suggests he will not deviate wildly from his established formula.

Between the two legs of the quarter-final against Aston Villa, Enrique made only two changes, one of which was enforced by Marquinhos’ suspension. The other concerned a decision that may again prove decisive tonight — the choice between Desire Doue and Bradley Barcola on the left wing.
At Villa Park, Barcola’s pace was preferred to stretch a deep defensive line. But against Arsenal’s dynamic full-backs, particularly Jurrien Timber, the technical prowess of Doue may be better suited. As highlighted, “Doue scored a stunning goal in the first leg against the Villans, cutting in off the flank and curling a shot well beyond Emi Martinez”.
The 19-year-old has the ability to trouble even the most structured defences, and alongside Ousmane Dembele and Kvicha Kvaratskhelia, forms a devastating forward trio that will test Arsenal’s back line throughout.

If there is a potential vulnerability in this PSG lineup, it lies at the back. While Pacho, standing at 6’2”, offers some presence, PSG’s defensive unit overall lacks significant aerial power.

Against an Arsenal side that thrives on set-pieces, this could become a critical factor. Gianluigi Donnarumma, often imposing in open play, will need to command his penalty area with authority.
With an attacking mindset but slight defensive concerns, PSG face a delicate balancing act at Emirates Stadium tonight.
Predicted PSG Lineup vs Arsenal
